Raely Qiu – Last Christmas

Raely Qiu, a North Carolina musician and recent “Last Christmas” alum (see above), has agreed to help us with the limited amount of reviewing that accompanies today’s post! His own version straddles the line between outsider folk and maybe lo-fi tenacity, but even that doesn’t quite describe it. Descriptions aside, it definitely is a must for any hardcore “Last Christmas” collector. Without further ado, take it away Raely…

A ‘different’ version of “Last Christmas.” Kind of a hip-hop country-ish version! Very cool, but not something that floats my boat.


Willow Tree – Last Christmas

This version of “Last Christmas” is the kind that makes you want to dance (hence the clue, Dance Version), which is not so commonly mixed with Christmas. This unique version has a duet, a man and a woman, though the main voice is the woman’s. It’s an ‘intersting’ [sic] version that also reminds me of a lower pictched [sic] Alicia Keys and Ashley Tisdale mix.


Physical Motion – Last Christmas (Dance Version)

The first instrumental version I have heard yet, but I bet there are more. [You bet your wind-chapped butt we’ve posted more instrumental’s Raely!…We don’t know if his butt’s really wind-chapped though…]


Peter Wheeler – Last Christmas

An Indian sounding version of “Last Christmas” has the best instrument part that I have heard yet. Overall it was preatty [sic] good but not evrybody [sic] may like her indian accent.


Idaira, Edurne y Sandra – Last Christmas

The funnyest [sic] version of this song that I have heard, no offence [sic] to the artist. This is a great song if you need to smile. In a way, its kind of a spoof. LOL….


Frank Tellina – Last Christmas

My favorite version of this song, besides Ashley Tisdale’s and Taylor Swifts! This is a song with a beat! A MUST DOWNLOAD! ROTFLOL. Well, if its not, it sounds very proffecional [sic]!

UK band Kanute just sent us their amazing version that I’m certain will find its way onto many of your last minute holiday mixes. It’s a very sullen, ethereal take with lots of piano and sighs that will break your heart in a good way.
