Damn this guy just shredded his way to winning the Magical Snowflake Award! His name is Wolfgang and rocks the hell out of this song, with a late-80s/early-90s methodology. Wait for Wolfie’s wicked solo at 2:10. He’s obviously a disciple of Yngwie (as we all should be).

Wolfgang Petry – Last Christmas
You can buy his second Christmas album on amazon.com.

Human Nature does a pretty snazzy a capella take on “Last Christmas” that is nearly always mistaken for *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, or 98º. These guys are Australian though.
Human Nature – Last Christmas
This version is available on the tough-to-find Australian version of Sony’s “Superstar Christmas,” but you can get the US version sans “Last Christmas” at amazon.com.

This is another toughie to find information about. But it’s a pretty orthodox take on the song, so I’m not sweating it.

Wolfgang’s cover of Last Christmas is a gift from God… The transcendental lyricism, the hauntingly regular eighties guitar riffs, it’s as if Richard Marx descended from Heaven and touched Wolfgang, blessing him with the remarkable ability to sound just like everyone else. Surly this gift can be used in a better way…perhaps doing voice over work for Herpes commercials or maybe for a title pawn company.

You guys are just so awesome it hurts. I’m so glad this site is still running! I never got to try out all the different versions last year~ :-)

Nsync really dind’t though. They’re “Home for Christmas” album doesn’t include it, neither does the “Winter Album.” If you have a scan or link to the album notes, please do comment with it! This question always comes up, and we can never come up with a physical copy to prove it’s existence.
