Holy crap. It happened. You now have the opportunity to listen to over 24 hours worth of the same song…is anyone going to give it a try? Actually, this brings up an interesting question…Have any of you, dear readers, listened to a selection of these covers at any great length? Have you somehow snuck a block of the covers into a work party Christmas mix? Leave us a comment and let us know! Also, to commemorate this momentous occasion, and due to popular request, below you will find a link to a .pdf that shows a list of all the versions we’ve featured to date! We’ll update this after the end of the month for all you collectors out there.
List of Artists Who have Covered “Last Christmas” – 12/05/08
Ok, business time. There seems to be some sort of ukulele thing happening, led by Julia Nunes and her videos on YouTube. Or maybe it’s always been happening, and it’s just now hitting “Last Christmas” as a cover akaf Kristen Foster. If you’re familiar with Julia Nunes’s videos, or just clicked the link above, you know what you’re getting here. It’s a sweet, simple and understated take on the song.

I really don’t know much about Vince, to be honest. But what I do know is that this has a saxophone in it.
Vince Martella – Last Christmas
This is pretty, gloomy, subtle cover, with moments of hope from what sounds to be a xylophone. It’s from London’s Lowstar, who are normally a little louder and more raucous.

Not sure what the “Fruity Loops” are all about in this version. It doesn’t make me want to eat Fruit Loops.
